Welcome to Tall Travels, a blog about teaching English and travelling the world.

I'm Phil, and you've guessed it, I'm tall. I'm an English teacher from Portsmouth England. I'm 34 and currently work in Asia.

In 2011, I quit my job in advertising and did a CELTA teaching course as a means to fund my travel. I spent a year teaching in Argentina and I loved it. I've been working as a teacher for five years now.

I have worked at two Mexican universities and moved to Spain in 2016. In 2018, I became a digital nomad and travel the world, teaching online.

I post about life in the classroom, local culture and travel - this blog gives an insight into what it's like to teach English in a foreign country.

I have written for The Other Side Magazine, Teaching Traveling, GoAbroad.com, The Oaxaca Times, Expat Focus, English Teacher X, Moneystepper.com and British Council Blogs. I welcome any feedback or collaboration so please feel free to get in touch in the following ways:

          Email         Twitter

If you would like to book a lesson, check out my page here.

I also write fiction and poetry some of which can be read on my Scriggler profile. Any publication of my work will be announced through my Twitter account.

I hope you enjoy Tall Travels!
